It removes a % of current MP. -20% au Lv 5, and each card is around -2% more MP. It also does HP damage that can be chipped. The HP damage scales based on how much MP was removed so there is some damage potential based on how much MP the target has. To clarify, Mana Burn is not 100% crit rate. I have no idea where the hell this came from, but I wish to dispel the idea. To clarify the damage, Mana Burn will take a % of the enemies MP off, and of the removed MP, it will do HP damage roughly equal to how much MP it took off. There is some random variance to Rappelz damage, so the HP damage will not always be the same. This HP damage it does can be chipped. To further clarify the damage, if an enemy has 200 MP and you use Mana Burn Lv 5 on it, it will remove 40 MP and ~40 HP (unchipped) because 20% of 200 is 40. If an enemy has 20000 MP and you use Mana Burn Lv 5 on it, it will remove 4000 MP and do ~4000 HP damage (unchipped) because 4000 is 20% of 20000. If an enemy has 100000 MP, then as you can guess by the examples before, it has the potential to do ~20000 HP damage (unchipped). As of the 10-23 patch, dungeon mobs have gotten more MP. This includes dungeon bosses. Warlock's are now the best DD to take to kill dungeon bosses with and are also capable of doing game best damage in a single hit.
